OPM and Central Michigan University’s (CMU) Global Campus Division have entered into an alliance as part of OPM’s continued effort to close skills gaps, increase Federal employees' access to high-quality, affordable educational resources, and further develop and sustain the Federal workforce.
A leader in distance education since 1972, CMU’s Global Campus has nearly 40 locations in the U.S. and Canada, including 20 military bases. CMU will provide a 15 percent reduced tuition rate on all their Global Campus Division educational programs to all Federal employees, their spouses and dependents. This reduced tuition rate applies to all undergraduate programs, graduate programs, and certificate programs. CMU’s Global Campus Programs are available online, face-to-face and in hybrid formats with condensed eight-week courses. Each program participant is responsible for following the CMU registration process posted through CMU’s website: global.cmich.edu/FED
In addition, this alliance between CMU and OPM affords the opportunity for Federal subject matter experts to collaborate with CMU curriculum developers to infuse the public sector perspective into the University’s curriculum.
