0030 — Sports Specialist Series

This series covers positions that require a knowledge of the physical and psychological factors in individual and team sports, and of the nature, purpose, and organization of recreational or competitive individual and team sports activities. Sports specialists: (1) plan, supervise, administer or carry out sports programs; (2) conduct clinics or seminars to train coaches or officials; (3) train and develop athletes in individual or team sports; (4) plan, organize or conduct tournaments or competitions from the intramural to the international levels; or (5) perform other functions requiring knowledge or skill in sports.
